Biofield Tuning

Biofield Tuning is a form of alternative therapy that uses tuning forks to interact with the body's energy field. This mild vibrational effect can assist in leaving behind what doesn’t serve you and attracting what does. The interaction of sound and vibration can facilitate physical and emotional well-being. I gently apply tuning forks to specific points on the body and with the assistance of sound through different forks enhance the body’s own healing mechanism. This area surrounding the body is the biofield. Just as science has found the energy from the heart can be felt 8 - 10’ from the body, the use of vibration and healing intent, the practitioner and client can initiate and improve energy flow and promote healing.

CoRegulating Touch

(TEB, SRR)

Co-regulating touch is a form of therapeutic touch used in somatic therapy to help bring awareness to one’s body and to assist in healing from physical, emotional and developmental trauma. Co-regulating touch can improve body awareness, lessen tension and promote emotional regulation. I am trained in a gentle supportive touch to promote a sense of safety. The client can feel calmer and more grounded. This type of touch can help people reconnect with their bodies and develop a sense of safety and trust.

Somatic Experiencing

(Embodied Awareness/Somatic Education)

Embodied awareness is the practice of focusing your attention on your physical sensations and feelings in the present moment. It’s about becoming more attuned to your body’s internal signals, such as muscle tension, breath, and emotions. We recognize we are hungry from our body’s signals. We can recognize other states as well. This heightened awareness can improve your overall well-being by helping you:

  • Manage stress and anxiety
  • Improve emotional regulation - allow emotions to move through you rather than “control” you
  • Enhance body coordination - improve your kinesthetic sense
  • Increase self-compassion - build empathy for yourself and others
  • Better a better connection with yourself and becoming more reflective

Oftentimes we can add tension to our bodies when we want to “get something done”. I can assist you in finding just the amount of muscle tension to take action or have the choice not to react but to respond.
